Two kinds of lock exist in Kaiju Alpha, and confusing them wastes days of grinding. A price is Cells — farmable, code-boostable, plain arithmetic. A gate is something Cells do not skip: another kaiju's level, a kill counter, ten hidden skulls, or a group join. The published table below (checked 2026-08-30) runs from 1,000 Cells to 1,500,000 across 19 priced kaiju; Update 52 later added Shin Eva Godzilla, Skeleton Gojira 1954 and Godzilla In Hell without prices, and for those — and any card that disagrees with this table — the live in-game card wins.

Kills for Destoroyah mean defeats of other kaiju — destroying buildings does not move that counter. Space Godzilla's chain is the shorter endgame route because it carries no kill line. Pick one chain and finish it; splitting Cells across both is how accounts stall for weeks.
Prices nobody published
As of the August 30 check: Shimo, Monster X, Orga's second form (described only as needing Godzilla 2000 DNA), Striker Eureka, MUTO Prime, Titan X and Keizer Ghidorah had no printed cost. Burning, Thermo and Frostbite Godzilla sit in a game-pass disagreement, and Hakaishin Godzilla was added and then removed with no explanation. A separate Robux shelf sells six monsters outright (99 to 1,250 Robux). For the newest arrivals — the Update 51-54 wave — their roster pages track whatever is published, and the update log records when prices appear.
